Arlington Heights Park District:
The Arlington Heights Park District is a public park and recreation agency located in Arlington Heights, the largest community in Chicago’s prestigious northwest suburban corridor; only 24 miles from business and entertainment in downtown Chicago. Arlington Park Racecourse:
The Arlington Park Racecourse is a great place for summer entertainment for the whole family. The facility offers thoroughbred racing Wednesday through Sunday with approximately 90 race days per year. Arlington Park is home to the Arlington Million and the Breeder’s Cup. In 2002, Arlington Park hosted a sold out crowd of 46,118 for the 2002 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, which came to the Midwest for the first time in its history. Arlington Heights Historical Museum:
The Arlington Heights Historical Museum is a five-building complex, including a Coach House, Log Cabin, the 1882 home of F. W. Muller, and the 1908 Banta House. These buildings and their contents tell the story of Arlington Heights over the last 150 years. Arlington Heights Memorial Library: 
The Arlington Heights Memorial Library is a world class library facility. Approximately 66 percent of Arlington Heights residents possess a library card. The 132,000 square foot facility provides over 450,000 items including 39,000 videos and DVD’s and over 35,000 CD’s and cassettes. The library loaned over 2,300,000 items in 2007. The facility has over 60 computers available in the library, with Internet access, paid information databases. Mitsuwa Marketplace:
The Mitsuwa Marketplace is the largest Japanese grocery store in the Midwest and provides the sights, tastes and sounds of Japanese culture. This is one of the many Japanese businesses located in Arlington Heights. The store is open 365 days a year from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
